Beef Operations Assistant

Seeking highly motivated individuals to be a part of a fast-paced environment on a modern livestock and crop enterprise.

De-Su Holsteins is a multigenerational family farm in New Albin, Iowa. Home to 2200 Holsteins, 800 beef cows, 6000 acres of corn and alfalfa and employs close to 45 people. All animals are housed in modern facilities, we perform an extensive amount of embryo transfer and operate all late model John Deere equipment. This position will be centered around operating planting and harvesting equipment, hauling livestock, and assisting with maintenance, repairs and general livestock operations. Candidate must have general livestock knowledge and experience, willing to work some weekends and holidays, and have a valid driver's license. Compensation based upon candidate's skill level. CDL isn't required.

Operations Assistant

De-Su Angus is seeking an individual to be a part of our Angus division on our southern ranch in Fremont, IA.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a progressive Angus operation on 2,350 contiguous acres home to 700 beef cows, several hundred bulls and youngstock. Duties will include but not limited to: mixing feed, assisting with vaccinating and calving, preparing for our annual bull sale, general maintenance and repairs along with general farm work. Candidate must be proficient at operating equipment and be familiar with animal handling. Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays and have a valid drivers license. Compensation based upon candidate’s skill level.
